Pupil Referral Unit
Take a look at some of our work below. You'll see lots of practical, hands-on experiences, lots of smiles and lots of creativity!
Pupils at Woodlands have thoroughly enjoyed working with outside agencies to enrich their learning through hands-on, engaging experiences. Miss Robinson, our Art teacher from Wrenthorpe, led a creative workshop using foam clay, while Emma from IzWiz delivered exciting coding sessions that sparked curiosity and problem-solving skills. The children have also benefited from weekly music sessions with Nick and strategy-based activities from Imagination Gaming, which have helped build resilience, encourage turn-taking, and develop critical thinking. Additionally, they loved interacting with animals, including a therapy dog, during sessions with Wildlings, which supported empathy, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of the natural world. These valuable opportunities have brought learning to life and extended their understanding beyond the classroom.
